We are now also supplying each of these products on CD as PDF files, allowing you to easily print off the parts you need, or the whole set, and/or place the files on your network and/or learning management system. Some of the main changes from the version you purchased are:
Learning resources for students withdrawn from class (Levels 1 to 5) This resource has been hugely updated with additional work placed into all lessons and days and full self-marking answers provided. These comprehensive sets each cover work from English, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science, designed as a withdrawal learning resource for a whole day or an hour's lesson. The sets are written at a variety of ability levels allowing you to allocate the package appropriate to each student. This updated package consists of over 1000 pages and contains work appropriate to Years 7 to 11. Each PDF file has its degree of difficulty clearly labelled as part of its name, but the units themselves are levelled in levels, making it easy to allocate them to specific students according to their ability rather than year level. This vastly expanded resource includes 20 different whole day packages and 10 1 hour packages for each level from Year 7 to Year 10, and 10 different whole day packages and 20 1 hour packages for Year 11. All packages come with full self-marking answers. Within each Year Level the work is set a various levels of difficulty allowing you to choose an appropriate set for a specific student. Resources for "stood down" or "suspended" students (Levels 3 to 5) Our “Resources for "stood down" or "suspended" students (Years 9 - 11)” have been expanded and updated specifically for the Education (Suspension) Rules 1999, allowing you to set work for stood-down or suspended students, without further imposing on yourself or your staff. The resource comes complete with comprehensive self-marking answers, along with "self-analysis questionnaires", enabling students to analyse their behaviour prior to returning to class. The resource is organised into nine comprehensive 3-day programmes - three programmes at each of Year 9, 10 and 11 levels. Each PDF file has its degree of difficulty clearly labelled as part of its name, making it easy to allocate them to specific students according to their ability. Each 3-day programme contains plenty of work, the whole resource being nearly 350 pages in length, with self-marking answer sheets included for each set. Also included are a set of "self-analysis questionnaires", designed as write-on sheets. It is envisaged that students could complete these and discuss their responses with a staff member such as the guidance counsellor or their dean, before returning to class. The self-analysis questionnaires cover issues such as fighting, assault, bullying, offensive weapons, vandalism/graffiti, defiance, verbal abuse, cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, theft, wagging/truancy, swearing, put-downs, disruptive behaviour, touching other peoples' property, etc. They work really well! Both these resources are very practical and professionally presented products, written totally for the New Zealand secondary school context by current secondary teachers. They were written in response to needs I perceived as an experienced deputy principal. They are sold on CD, allowing you to print them as needed or store them on your network or learning management system.
